Finally, masks off

The government puts an end to the obligation to wear a face mask on public transport. After many doubts and votes in favour, but also against in the Council of Ministers, the elimination of the obligation to wear masks on public transport has been approved. What does this mean for tourism in Spain?

It means that the return to normality has arrived and it is here to stay. The elimination has come at a time of stability in COVID-19 cases, with a clear downward trend. According to the latest report, the 14-day cumulative incidence in the over-60s is 50.76 cases per 100,000 population.

We hope that this measure will become the final and absolute revulsive of the pandemic and will be the push that the tourism sector needs to recover 100%.
