Bridge to the Cloud 2, Microsoft renews commitment to Dynamics NAV clients

As the 60% discount on Bridge to the Cloud is about to come to an end, from January 2023, Microsoft will be betting on Bridge to the Cloud 2, which will have a 40% discount.

In 2019 Microsoft launched Business Central in Spain, and turned the old Dynamics NAV on its head to incorporate the market-leading ERP into the Microsoft 365 suite. Many changes ensued, some as substantial as the user interface, which became web-based, or the licensing system, which went from the concurrent user to the nominal model. The manufacturer launched a programme to recognise the investment and loyalty of Dynamics NAV customers, offering discounts that sometimes reached 60%. This programme was known as Bridge to the cloud, and has been extended on numerous occasions.

The conditions of the promotion were and still are simple. The customer had to:
- Hold a Dynamics NAV, GP or SL licence.
- Have an active BREP, i.e. pay for the annual renewal.
- Purchase Dynamics 365 Business Central licences with an annualised total greater than or equal to their EP renewal amount.

The Bridge to Cloud promotion has been an ideal lever to incentivise switching among Dynamics NAV on-premises customers, but it ends next December 2022.  Fortunately, in its place is the Bridge to the Cloud 2 promotion. This new promotion is extended to cover Dynamics CRM and AX, but in return reduces the discounts from 60% to 40%. In addition, Microsoft is providing customers with a support fund to help them migrate from their old NAV to the new Business Central in SaaS mode.

Dynasoft maintains its commitment to its customers to help them make the most of the programmes and incentives launched by the manufacturer, as well as to implement the DIGITAL KIT grants and to jump on the bandwagon of new cloud technologies. Take the opportunity to make the leap to Business Central SaaS and take advantage of the 60% discount before the end of the year.

These are the terms and conditions of the promotion:

- Eligible Products:
This promotion applies to customers migrating from most Dynamics perpetual on-premise products purchased through DPL to functionally similar Dynamics 365 online per-user offerings available on NCE for commercial customers. (without specific EDU or GOV offerings) with a 3-year term.

- Subscription period:
1 January 2023 to 31 December 2024. To enrol, the member must enrol in an applicable CSP NCE subscription with this selected promotion and follow the process below to notify Operations (ROC) of the extension of their local EP benefits.

- Duration of promotion: Fixed term of 3 years from enrolment. Non-renewable. After the end of the promotion, normal prices will apply.

- Pricing: 40% discount on the standard commercial catalogue price.

- Licensing programme: Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) (NCE only).

- Licence requirements:
o Initial CSP value. Customer must purchase eligible Dynamics online licenses with an annualised value (suggested retail price less promotional discount and before partner discount) greater than or equal to the annual renewal PE amount (before partner discount) of their existing local Dynamics license.
o Maintain CSP value. Customers must maintain the minimum CSP licence value described above during the promotional period. Customers who do not meet this requirement, including as a result of cancellation or reduction of their CSP subscription, will be liable for PE costs from the date their paid PE ended (as well as 3% past due fees) and will no longer be eligible to receive promotional pricing/deferrals.
o Active PE plan. The customer must have an active PE plan for the local system to be migrated (at the time of enrolment for the promotion). Customers with expired PE plans are not eligible (beyond a 30-day grace period). Although customers with an active PE plan can sign up for the promotion at any time, no credit will be granted for the unused portion of the current PE plan term.
o Functionally similar product. Migration must be to a functionally similar product. Permitted migration paths are provided in Annex 1 (e.g.
provided in Annex 1 (e.g. Dynamics NAV on-premises to Dynamics 365 Business Central online).
o CSP and geographic availability. The promotion is limited to geographies where the CSP programme and the desired Dynamics 365 online product is available.
o New customer on the cloud product. Customer must not have previously purchased the same product online through legacy CSP or NCE.
o Existing customers only. The customer's original Dynamics on-premises product must have been licensed before 1 September 2022.

The promotion provides the following additional benefits:

- Dual access rights. During the promotional period, customers can continue to use, extend and upgrade their legacy on-premise system while completing the migration without the need to purchase additional PE. Other EP benefits, such as the transfer of membership licences, remain available during this period. (Note: expanding the number of local users requires the purchase of additional local licences).

- Monthly billing. Most eligible products in NCE offer annual and/or monthly billing options, and CSP partners determine which of the available billing terms to make available to each of their customers. Note: While payment terms may be monthly, annual or otherwise, all online subscriptions eligible for this promotion have a fixed term of 3 years (non-cancellable).

For customers migrating to Dynamics 365 Business Central (only):

- Dual Use Rights (DUR). Dual Use Rights apply to Dynamics 365 Business Central licenses purchased through this promotion (to the extent provided in the Product Terms). Please note: Dual-use rights only allow local use of current online versions (not previous versions), do not include support or PE benefits, do not allow users to be added to an existing local system, may require the purchase of ancillary products (e.g. SQL), and do not apply to local use of "$0" online user licenses. Local dual-use licensed users cannot be added or combined with local DPL licensed users (e.g. existing local system). Long-term operation of a local implementation using dual-use rights is neither intended nor recommended.

- Users at 0 €. If and after the annualised cost of a customer's NCE promotional licence (after applying the 40% promotional discount but before the partner margin discount) exceeds twice its annualised EP cost (before the partner margin discount) for equivalent usage, the customer may order additional licences at no additional cost for use during the promotional period with a value (calculated using the promotional price) up to, but not exceeding, twice the EP cost. This provision applies only to customers migrating from a Dynamics Concurrent User Licence product (or who have previously transitioned from a Dynamics Concurrent User Licence product) to Dynamics 365.
